Roxana Maldonado
As a career in-class and extra-curricular educator, I am keenly aware of how the school board’s decisions profoundly impact students and their families, as well as our community. I advocate relentlessly on behalf of the academic success of all students, believing that all children deserve the chance to receive a quality education that will prepare them for a successful future. Through my extensive experience within the public school system, I have dedicated myself to designing and carrying out student-focused educational curricula and programs, guided by careful, deliberate decision-making. I look forward to researching further opportunities to implement student-centered educational programs. If elected to the Lucia Mar School Board, I will represent all constituents in our community to bring the best possible education to all our children. I will work hard to allocate resources appropriately to help develop effective policies that serve all students.
I love working with kids and have made it my life. I love to see them learn and grow. I want to make sure that all students have the very best opportunities they need to reach their highest potential.

I have worked with students, teachers, parents, administrators, families, and community members to create programs that are enriching to all students and deepen their learning experience.

Our students have unique talents and interests. Our teachers need support to innovate and expand on the district's already high-quality programs that will prepare all students for the future they have in mind for themselves.
​
School safety is paramount. We need to ensure strong connections between schools and local law enforcement. At the same time, we need to support our school communities to respond to students in distress before a crisis occurs. We need to provide students and families with supportive resources. I will work to foster a learning environment where every student feels connected to the school in a positive way.
